Join us as paddle around Manhattan. Literally. This full-day trip will have us circling Manhattan and is roughly 30 miles of paddling. We sometime refer to this trip as the 20 bridges trip. That’s how many bridges we’ll under.
This is an advanced trip.
We’ll paddle around Piers 2 and 3, periodically stopping in the different places to practice our recovery and towing skills. Depending on the group, we may also do some specific "in-current" recovery and towing drills.
This is for volunteers who have completed one shift or more this year.

We’ll be paddling up the East River under the three bridges to the Bushwick Inlet in North Williamsburg.

This is an intermediate trip. We're passing a BMW (paddling under the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg Bridges) and several beautiful spots: Jane's Carousal, Bushwick Inlet, the Navy Yard Basin, Main St., East River State, Bushwick Inlet and WNYC Transmitter Parks.
We'll land in North Brooklyn and hang out before jumping on the currents back to Pier 2. Many of us normally grab a bite to eat at a couple of nearby spots like Lobster Joint, Ice Cream Factory.

Join us as we circumnavigate Governors Island. You may have seen if from the Buttermilk Channel side but this is a chance to see it from the west side and get sweeping views of the harbor.
This is a beginner+ trip. The west side can get a little bumpy and there are two ferry crossings. You should have some previous kayaking experience.
Join us as we head south for a paddle to Red Hook, getting out at the beach by Valentino Pier—which means a food run to Fairway and/or Steve's Key Lime.
